Topshop Haul

Last week I travelled back up to Leeds, this time to hand my key back to the landlord from our student house (no fun :( ). But I also met up with one of my housemates and we got a little spendy with the remaining of our student loans!

we ventured into Topshop and noticed the sale, and even though there were not many great items in the sale, we still managed to spend quite a bit, no regrets here! The final purchased items include a mint green jumper with a sequin detail around the collar, and a white flower cut tee.

Escaping Topshop, we then turned to Harvey Nichols to find an Urban Decay Flushed palette in Streak, but there was nobody around the Urban Decay desk to help, so we shuffled our way around moving from Chanel, Nars, Laura Mercier and even Mac, but finally found the perfect summer blush in Estee Lauder. This was quite pricey at £25, but to consider that I normally go for Benefit and those blushers are at least £23, it was a perfectly acceptable purchase!

Summer skin ready

Who wants summer ready skin? I want summer ready skin!

1. First up is an eczema cream Dermalex, after being given so many steroid creams and thick solutions that didn't work, I finally came across this in Boots! It's quite pricey at around £28 a tube, but is steroid free and seriously the best thing I have ever used on my eczema, so soothing and repairing!

2. Secondary is Benefits Refined Finish from the B.Right. This formula is my favourite skin cc care product that I own, and I seriously cannot wait to purchase the rest of the B.Right skincare range! I've been using this since Christmas and it really does make a difference, creates soft and smooth skin.

3. Neutrogena pink grapefruit cream wash is so refreshing! Use this every morning and it prevents break outs and scaring from acne, if you're new to skincare this is an easy start to looking after your skin.

4. Lush King of Skin Butter Bar melts so quickly, smells amazing, and definitely a must have! It's very moisturising and soothing, I use this just after I've shower and even though it does take a long time to sink into the skin, it leaves you smelling amazing and fresh.

5. Neutrogena grapefruit moisturiser is one of my favourites, again very refreshing, I use this after the facial wash, before I apply my make up. It's not sticky and it doesn't take forever to soak into the skin, but still leaves a fresh feel and moist skin ready to prep for make up.

6. Last but not least is Soap and Glory Hand Food, again smells amazing, leaves hands feeling soft and prepped ready to paint your nails with your favourite summer nail polish!

Until next time, lovelies x

May Favourite

I realise its the middle of June, and too late to do a May favourites, but keeping on top of the favourites game means blogging them very month right?

First item on my May favourite list is a book, and a very popular book at that! The Fault in our Stars is an extremely popular book for teens and young adults, based on a girl (Hazel-Grace) who is suffering a terminal illness, also known as Cancer. This novel is actually a breath-taking and emotional roller coaster for all readers, a love story, a life problem, a travelling experience and teenage life all crushed between a paperback cover. On a serious note though, if you have not read this, you ARE missing out, and you need to go to your local waterstones, WHSMITHS or book store and purchase it quickly! Side Note: I purchased mine for £2.99 from Sainsburys)

I started reading this last summer but never really got into it, then picked it up again a few weeks ago and became instantly hooked (also the little matter that i prefer to read books before watching the movies). Big high-five for John Green here!

Next up, the little pink trio of beauty products. And yes, a Benefit product is included (surprise, surprise). The Rimmel London Match Perfection blush is an old make up item that I came across when clearing through my dressing table, I was never a big fan of this, and the thin plastic case would always crack and I was scared of the product smashing and crumbling when I travelled. However, I've given it a second chance and it was the best choice I've made in a while. It includes three different shades of pink, and blended together give a little shimmer, and pink pop to the apples of your cheeks, definitely a 'must try' if you've never had this before.

Secondly, Barry M Gelly High Shine Nail Paint in the colour Rose Hip. I've never been one for Barry M until I tried this product, still not a fan of the normal nail polishes in this collection, but i'm a sucker for the Gelly High Shines! It literally stays on for so long, at least a good 7 days, no chips, no cracks, no smudges.

Lastly, Benefit colour Collection ultra-plush lip gloss in the shade A-Lister (Bubblegum Pink), this is just a perfect colour for the spring/summer little glowing bronzed tan everyone been catching from the little tiny bit of English weather this past few weeks.

And then the strange one, I suffer from migraines quite badly, and have for such a long time, but recently the doctors gave me a new medication to try and reduce these migraines. This is Propanolol, and seriously works wonders! All you migraine sufferers out there, try this little working wonder!

Until next time x

The BEST body exfoliator in the world!

I'm not one for going out and randomly buying a product, but this one I do not regret!

I wondered in to Boots baring in mind that I needed to buy a body exfoliator because my skin was getting really dry! The first brand that popped into mind was then Soap and Glory, so over to the Soap and glory section we went and I ended up walking away with this little beauty.

My skin is fairly dry, I suffer from eczema and when I don't look after my skin and moisturise daily I get break outs! Therefore I avoid using products my skin is not used to at all costs! But desperate times call for desperate measures right?

Myself and two of my friends spent a good 15 minutes just smelling all of the products before we even decided on which exfoliator to choose! Guys, if you've never smelt a soap and glory product before, you're really missing out!! I then read the labels (obviously to make sure I was getting the product!) and decided on this smoothie star exfoliator with pieces of oats and sugar. It also has a scent of maple syrup, which makes it smell of breakfast porridge. AMAZING!!

I have used this for two weeks before deciding to blog about it, didn't want to give anyone a false impression of the product! It does no harm to my skin, it's a natural body scrub and leaves skin feeling so fresh and soft, definitely summer ready.

I haven't used this in every shower because I didn't want it to rub away all my natural skin oils and all that jazz. But literally the small scoop will cover my whole body. This products was £8 and there was an offer of 3 for 2, but I bailed on the offer because I haven't really tried many products from this brand and wanted to be safe with my skin!

Let me know if there are any skin products from soap and glory, or other popular beans you have tried? I would still like to try and experiment with a few others :)
