Whats in my bag?

This month I haven't really tried many new products, so I didn't think it would be useful to do a monthly favourites on old favourites! However, my little lovelies, this blog post will include a sneak peek of what is in my bag.

So, yesterday I went to York with some of my old friends from sixth form. It was Reanne's birthday and we wanted to to do something a little bit different to the usual meal in a fancy restaurant! The special thing about York is that a few years ago, before leaving for uni, we all surprised Reanne on her birthday with a lovely weekend away in York.

So yesterday we were going for a meal and a few drinks, but the weather was not that great to start out with, and we'd be travelling there and back, so outfit choice was a little tricky in trying to combine all these factors! However, after choosing a summery floral dress and cream coat with my Vivienne Westwood filly snake bag  in blue! (link is the black version).

Inside my bag, there was a range of product to help me through the day, luckily the weather perked up and we had cocktails by the river, and but my makeup never slipped in wind or shine, all thinks to the Benefit 15-hour primer.

First up is beauty products, I usually only take one lipstick, but on this occasion, I ended up with 3! I would usually apply lipstick before leaving the house, and if I feel I need to, I will take that same lipstick with me in my bag, otherwise, I usually just stick to baby lips!

The two lipsticks I took yesterday were both Rimmel London Kate lipsticks, this was because Rimmel London have made some amazing red shades in the Kate collection, and i'm a sucker for a red lip. I obviously had to have some Benefit in my bag somewhere, so this was the mini They're real mascara, this was just incase my eyes needed a little pick me up during the day (which they did not, because this mascara and amazing and crumble-free), and a Benefit Porefessional, just incase any makeup slipped around my nose or under my eyes from the whether.

Next up is the usual hand bag type products, phone, purse, keys, train pass, pocket mirror, you know...

And then all the extra little bits: comb, bobby pins, hair tie, facial moisture spray (from being around all the air pollution or trains and alcohol).

Just a short little check in, but a big post will be coming soon, and a lot of amazing things are happening in September so I will keep you updated! Until next time lovelies x

Who doesn't need new stationary?

So I recently got my 2nd year grade from University and obviously stocked up on nesessities to be able to survive third year. Those essential ingredients to be able to tackle all lectures, exciting or boring, and bright colourful stationary allows you to handle note taking a little more easily knowing it's going into pretty paper.

So for anyone going to university/college soon, trust me when I say you will need endless amounts of paper and pens to get you through the year! I went through 2-3 notebooks and a millions pens in second year alone. And also the fact third year is 100000x harder than second, and more note taking and scribbling down stuff will be taking place.

So I decided to get stationary, already prepared for October and it's months away (credit for organisation skills).

Starting off with notebooks, three notebooks to be exact.

The bottom one: A4 Oxford notebook- Asda £3
Middle: A5 Cath Kidston- £8
Top: A5 Sainsburys- £3

EVERYONE needs post it's!

Folders: All Cath Kidston- £9 for 2

Document Wallets: Cath Kidston- £7 for 4

And lastly lots of pens!!

I hope you guys all got the grades you needed if you're in/going to university/college!

Until next time lovelies x

OOTD

Travelled home today from university, and had the worst time with train. They were all delayed by 2 hours! :(

Regardless of that, here's a little travelling outfit of the day! :) they are awful quality picture, and my student room looks very bare from where my mirror is placed (it's far from bare).

Student room tour!

So for a while I've wanted to do a room tour of my room in our student house, in Leeds. Leeds is where I go to univeristy, more specifically, Leeds Trinity university.

I live with five other girls, in the centre of headingley, in a huge 6 bedroom house!

(I apologise in advance for bad lighting, I decided to do this at night and it was really dark! Oops!)

OOTD 9.3.14

This morning I jumped straight out of the shower and used my favourite Benefit Cosmentic skincare products.

I only tried these products recently, im they were given to me as a Christmas gift and I'd never thought to even pick them up before now. The moisturiser I have used before because I had a sample, but the other products were completely new to me. I must say, the moisturiser is the most AMAZING thing to have ever touched my skin! It leaves skin feeling so soft and blemish free, I could use this every single day, and after my sample has all gone i'm definitely buying a full size!

I then get dressed to visit my mum in hospital, have my hair cut and go shopping with my dad. I wore a new crop top from Topshop with a white best top underneath and a light denim skirt. It was really warm today!!

And now I'm finishing off today with movies and snacks!

How was your Sunday, bloggers? x

Clothes haul

Last weekend I went to Leeds, and I was in a pretty bad mood after visiting my student house, so went shopping and came home (retail therapy at its best)!

I went in to Cath Kidston for a bowler bag, I wanted on in the sale but they'd sold out online! So when I walked in a picked up a normal prices one and walked to the back of the store to see they still had a sale. I wondered around at found this little beauty in the sale! Bloomsbury bowling bag reduced from £65 to £45! I have wanted one of these for so long and so glad I finally got one.

I then wondered over to Topshop, they had quite a lot left in the sale but nothing really worth buying. I saw a dressing gown in the sale, from £36 to £20, and because I'm always so much colder at home, and it was covered in an adorable polar bear on ice skates print, it was a must have!

Next item from Topshop was a navy striped, low waist dress! This was £24 and was in the basic, fashion steals (affordable and fashionable) section. I'm yet to wear this but the fit is amazing, it's definitely a must have and is a dress for any event.

Last item from Topshop was a gingham, black and white check a line skirt for £36! I have tried this on and it's very smart casual! A line skirts are definitely a mist have for all seasons though, especially ones with bold prints and styles.

My last item of the haul is a new MAC lipstick! This is my second MAC lipstick and I'm already addicted to them! I'm a huge fan of lipsticks and have many different brands including high street drug store lipstick (rimmel London) and high end (Paul and Joe). This lipstick is called Peach Blossom.

Wish List!

This blog was going to be an outfit of the week post, about the clothes i'd worn during my first week of placement, but got so busy in the morning, and so tired in the evenings that I completely forgot to take pictures of my outfits after Tuesday!

Instead, I decided to do a wish list, in-between researching camps for the CCUSA camp fair on saturday!

Starting this post, i've been wanting this little dress for a while but was way too expensive. UNTIL it went in the sale a few days ago as further lines were added! this dress is from Zara and is now £12.99, and I shall definitely be buying this on the weekend when I go back up to Leeds! it has very pretty red detailing down both sides of the top of the dress, definitely brings out the frame of the dress. This would also be very handy to take to America (when/if I ever get hired, taking forever)!

The next item to go on my wish list is this beautiful sunflower print baby doll dress from American Apparel . Sadly, this dress is £48 and right now I do not think I can bare to separate with that much money after just paying rent and bills for a house i'm not even currently living in until March! But I do really love this dress and it would be great for summer!

Topshop have always made really pretty vests, and cami's, but I didn't really like them on myself because I don't like tops/dresses that are really low on the back! However, they recently brought back these little pretty things and I shall definitely be purchasing some of these soon, and at only £20 are perfect to match up with anything!

Another Topshop favourite of mine is this pretty red bow for the hair. This particular one is a clip in bow and at £8.50 is a little pricey. I don't really use hair accessories either, apart from the plan grips and bobby pins, unless I have my hair up or i'm going somewhere special. This bow would work perfectly for summer when it's way too warm to have long hair down all the time.

Next on my list is an A-Line skirt from Urban Outfitters. This particular one is black with white detail and pretty flowers. A-Line skirts to be everywhere for spring, so i'm looking forward to trying some of these and seeing some more pretty patterns. This skirt is £30.

Cath kidston make the prettiest clothes, but they are always in really big sized, e.g. an extra small is 8-10 UK, and being petite is not Cath kidston clothes friendly! HOWEVER! Recently been brought to my attention that the sizing has now been re-arranged and they now sell actual sized clothes instead of XS,S,M,L! The new season is now my most favourite thing when I saw this lovely tea dress which I must have! Even though this is £55 it's great material and quality and would look lovely in the spring summer time, with or without tights.

This last item is also from Cath Kidston, and is from the new seasons line. This is the bright daisies quilted make up bag, and I find the new seasons prints so lovely and summery! This particular bag would be used as a make up bag for me, but a travel one which i'd be able to put just the essentials in, and includes a mirror, all for £16!

What is in your wish list from the new season?

OOTD

Today I had to go in to where my next placement is, starting Monday, full time for six weeks (which I'm super excited about)! Excited about placement because the teacher I'm teaching with is a new graduate, who's first year it is working in this primary school, who graduated from the university in currently studying at!! Then this evening we had a tea party for my niece who just turned 4 today.

My outfit of the day consisted of my new Topshop coat (berry boyfriend popper button), and an old favourite black dress with a colour and eagle clips.

I also used my every day make up, consisting of neutrogena grapefruit moisturiser, collection 2000 red long lasting lipstick (discontinued), benefit products and rimmel London mascara.

As well as a Victoria's Secret body spray. This fragrance is my favourite and I have quite a collection of these fragrance mists. Midnight dare smells of raspberries and sandalwood, it's very sweet but more fruity, and not like a sweet child smell!

Then to finish this post, this was the gift I bought my niece for her birthday, a Percy pig cake from Marks and Spencers for £10. The reason I only got her a cake was because I got her wayyyyy too much for Christmas and spent an awful lot of money on her! But she got plenty more presents from everyone else so she was happy with the cake.

(She's nibbled some ear)
